| Former Band Director, Mr Green passes |
Most of us knew him as Mr. Green, the exuberant Band director at USG in the eighties. He has been working at one of our pipeline middle schools - Jefferson for some time. I must apologize for this late notice. I have been in and out of town for a few months now, and very busy. I wish I would have been able to put this out more timely. Mr. Green and I spoke within the last two years and I could tell that he was happy teaching and leading the band. When I saw him, he was at a football game directing the USG band on a Friday night. It brought back great memories. He will be missed. This is his obituary from the Oklahoman.
David Joseph Green, age 55, from Moore, OK passed away July 15, 2008. David was born July 24, 1952 in Lawton, OK. David is a graduate of Oklahoma University. David has spent most of his career in education as a teacher in the Oklahoma City school system. Currently, David was teaching at Jefferson Middle School. David is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Green. David is survived by his mother, Dorris Green of Wagoner and 1 sister, Janis Beckner of Ft. Myers, FL. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at U.S. Grant High School under the direction of Hibbs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers there is a David Green Band Memorial Fund for Jefferson Middle School.

| Class of 1982 alum, Forrest Pollock, passed |
Forrest was one of the most successful alums of our class. He died, along with his 13 year old son, in a private plane crash. Their bodies were found yesterday, May 13.
He was Senior Pastor at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon Florida, and was apparently continuing to pursue his education, after already having a M-Div from Southwestern and a Doctor of Ministry, emphasis Church growth, from Southwestern.
He married in 1990 and they had six children together, ranging from 8-15.
